B.A. Music

COURSE OFFERINGS

The Bachelor of Music Program in Music (International Program)

The program provides an international standard of education in the academic study of music that will allow graduates to engage with the modern global world fully. The program does not focus on learning traditional music theories and standard performance per se; instead, students learn how to integrate musical excellence with technological management from an innovative perspective.
This means that:
(1) Students learn how to use digital technology and innovative methods to produce musical works with high efficiency
(2) How music is impacted by secular and contemporary factors, allowing them to apply music as a creative tool to develop local communities and broader societies.
Furthermore, students are trained as innovative and ethical leaders in global music to effectively engage in the modern globalized world by analyzing their social conditions. The curriculum is meticulously designed for the acquisition of both theoretical and practical analytical skills in order that students can apply their knowledge to respond to contemporary socio-cultural issues.
The Bachelor of Music program concentrates on developing effective communication, creative thinking, and strong interpersonal skills alongside core professional integrity, ensuring that non-native English speakers are fully equipped to adapt to a dynamic social and environmental landscape.

Bachelor of Music Program in Music (International Program)

The Bachelor of Music Program (International Program) aims to cultivate highly skilled musicians, educators, and creative practitioners equipped to lead within today’s information-driven, multicultural, and globalised world. By synthesising rigorous training in music theory and performance with digital technology and research-led inquiry, the curriculum develops morally grounded, socially responsible graduates. Students are encouraged to look beyond their own national and cultural boundaries, fostering an expansive worldview that positions music not merely as an art form, but as a vital catalyst for intercultural dialogue and sustainable social harmony.

Central to the programme is the promotion of music as a dynamic social and technological force. Through diverse international learning experiences, collaborative ensembles, and community-based engagement, undergraduates refine their ethical awareness and cultural sensitivity. The curriculum empowers students to critically analyse musical knowledge and interpret complex artistic contexts, preparing them to apply these insights directly to the advancement of global cultural understanding and the enrichment of local communities.

Ultimately, this programme equips aspiring professionals with the essential competencies required to excel across the contemporary creative industries, including advanced performance, composition, music production, and creative entrepreneurship. By instilling robust leadership, project management, and communication skills, the course ensures graduates are fully prepared to innovate and collaborate within educational institutions, cultural agencies, and international settings. The programme remains steadfastly committed to producing well-rounded, technologically adept, and socially engaged alumni who will distinctively serve the global soundscape.
